The simpliest technique in controlling opponent's balance by knocking the joints- wrist, elbow, shoulder, neck..etc..
This is just the beginnings.

The brawl at the end is just fascinating. It does show that Aikido can be very practical against a sloppy street-grappler; I come away wondering if Tomiki isn't the modern variant to follow, though. Which this isn't.

Steven Segal was an itch in his dad's pants when this was filmed. The man didn't arrive in Japan untill the late 70's.
