That's gotta be one of the least educated statements I've ever read on the internet. Chet Atkins was universally regarded as a guitar master and genius. He inspired thousands with his beautiful, emotive, and fluid playing. And he played for quite a long time -- his career was almost 60 years long. RIP, Mr. Guitar. You were truly an original, and you'll be sorely missed forever.

And I'm not through yet! This is garbage! Their tiny opinion is dung. My daddy brought me up on Mr Guitars music, and when they put down Chet, the master they put down my daddy! I would claw this persons eyes out of their sockets if I met them. This person is the king of fools! Can't even play a guitar, yet can tell all of us what it should sound like. Well prove it! We'll give you a guitar and you show us how it's played. Yeah right! They wouldn't even know how to tune it!

Yes. Chet has stood on his on for decades. This person who comes in here and puts down Mr guitar is making a total ass of themself. As if their minute little opinion changes decades of guitar HISTORY. This person is SPITTING IN THE WIND. How can they criticize someone who has PROVEN them self for 40 years and say he "needs 20 years more practice when the person them self doesn't know a guitar from their own asshole? When they earn as many awards as Chet did, maybe then they can instruct.

Free speech isn't dead. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from criticism. In an open forum, ideas stand or fail on their own merits or lack thereof.

OK, you have proved my point. Free speech is dead. I still don't think he can play for toffee, but as the guy is dead and he can't defend himself I will say no more on the matter after this comment. Their ARE MILES better guitar players out their by far. I am NOT one to lie and say things I do not mean, if I have never heard of the guy, I have never heard of him. I am not a yank or a guitar player or a brown-noser, I am a music lover thats all. This is not music, just noise, sorry.

Throw! duh! or like saying Beethoven needs to learn to write a symphony! The person who would say such things thinks they are so damn smart and everyone else knows they are fuckin clueless! They are jerkin off in a circle with their eyes closed! Chet PROVED his guitar ability over 40 or 50 years and over hundreds of albums and traveling the world. His ability is not in question. What's in question is the existence of a smatter of intelligence in the person who makes such an ignorant comment.

My daddy was a guitar player before he died, and he had hundred of Chet's albums in vinyl. He taught me who Mr guitar was! Chet was the greatest guitar player who ever lived!
