yeah but it was for demonstration purpose. The key in the defense is to lower the gravity for a steady base for the counter.

Alot of these techniques of Aikido work best in pre-emtive scenarios not in an actual brawling situation. But work best in restraining aspect, law enforcement, military, security, bouncing.

Which way the hands are positioned determines the direction in which you apply the technique.
Performing a technique that close to a camera limits how you can perform it and still capture the movement. |
