By the way son, why didn't you climb this thing old school? With a helicopter that is LOL. Its amazing when your at the top it looks like a little Christmas tree. Think that the little amount of sunlight taken in at the top, relative to the whole mass, is enough for that whole tree.

a lot of the branches are bigger than most trees, and when they aren't, you run the risk of damaging them.

It's a fairly untouched area of redwood forest. But aside from height, the Valley of the Lost Groves redwoods may be more groovy. Nice shots ... Ever heard of the coast redwoods: "VALLEY OF THE LOST GROVES" ?? Google it.
