i'm in love, her voice is amazing oh yes OLDER=BETTER (but older and beauty)
PadreParty (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The most amazing thing about this video and her voice is the fact she was 61 years old at the time. She is now 71 and still sounds and looks just as amazing. Make sure you watch her extraordinarily lush, sophisticated version of "Get this party started"

When I first heard of this song, I was 14. And I thought, wow..this lady has a WONDERFUL voice! We were doing a dance to this song in my dance class and I LOVED this song and Shirley's voice. I was eager to go to dance class just to hear and practice to this song! I'm 17 now, and I still love her voice <3

omg, i know exactly what you mean. i'd heard of her but james bond is probably my clearest memory! but sounds like you and i may both have suffered this loss, lol, due to the generational thing. she was born a few years after my mom! so sometimes it just takes us a little while to catch up - only so many music hours in a day.(o: but i just decided to get better acquainted with her music and her story and am enjoying her vocal stylings tremendously. she will always be in fashion. timeless!
