Wishfru, the "guy in the middle" is Paul Stookey. He's playing the song in G, capoed to the third fret (you can adjust up or down frets to suit your voice). The basic progression is G Bm Am Dsus7 back to G. Start with G, hammer-on the B string before shifting to the Bm. Experiment with that, watch Paul's hands, and I think you'll pick it up pretty fast. Peter is playing the base chords
