The Ao Dai is beautiful. Never seen one I didn't like. Much like the QiPao in Chinese fashion, the Ao Dai is uniquely Vietnamese and beautiful. Nothing like pairing pants with this lovely dress with a pair of pants. A truly classic and beautiful look. These women look like goddesses in this video. Beautiful and stylish.

When I was a kid, I wore Ao Ba Ba much. When I went to High school, I wore Ao Dai. Now, I still wear Ao Dai when I go to temple and Church. I am from Mien Tay. I love White Ao Dai. However, other color makes me look taller. hahhaha.

calmdown man, why you hate so much viets, of course they have indigenous culture and language (writing system, they have adapted previously chinese system now latin alphabet), dont make such ignorant comments.. its shame whatvietgobernment is doing in cambodia, but there are nice people in vietnam and vietnam has also ancient origins.. if you want to attack someone then give good arguments, not just angry nonesense

Do you have a problem with that? huh?
Who the hell are you?

Viet=copycat, no indigenous culture, language and writing sys. Viet = sick man, only 2 Olympic medal (participated 13 summer Olympics). Viet = scavenger, eat worm, grasshopper, lizard, hop toad, rat, snake...everything.

I really like wearing ao dai. I can't understand why so many Vietnamese girls nowday don't want to wear ao dai. '_'

3) As for Chinese, whoever was born first will be elder (eg among cousins). As for Vietnamese, whose parents are older by rank, themselves will be elder regardless of age.
Side note: Original Vietnamese written language was 'Nôm'. It was a copy of Chinese. Whoever could read Nôm could also read Chinese but not the reverse. Probably half of Vietnamese spoken language is Chinese (esp Hán Việt).

No doubt, the Chinese heavily influenced the Vietnamese in every aspect. However, there are three aspects the Chinese have not influenced the Vietnamese at all through their 1000 years occupation.
1) The Vietnamese women always have more rights than the Chinese women.
2) As for Vietnamese, relatives (cousins) are not allowed to be married, even for distant relatives. As for Chinese, as long as they have different surnames, any family members can marry each other even uncles and nieces.
