This song is amazing. Heartachingly moving and beautifully sung.

You are correct heloiseh2004, unfortunately Sandy Denny never appeared live with Led Zep, that would have been the cherry on the icing of the cake.

The event = a certain memory and noted at the time - her biography is not quite complete (are they ever?). Which song = an assumption, but an obvious one to make.

Are you sure about the Wembley memory? All the books I've seen on Led Zep say the first live performance of 'Battle of Evermore' was 1977, with John Paul Jones on second vocal. Sandy's biography doesn't say she ever appeared live with them. LZ IV was released in Nov 71, by the way, not 72.

I meant in using the phrase "breaks my heart" is was a good description. Must go now, but can help w/ more Sandy. The BBC tribute, perhaps?

How was it that I said it 'that' way? Just wondering what made you feel or say that. I am pleased it made you glad. Do you know the best way to get more Sandy songs downloaded, or a favorite cd of her's? Ok, I am old, DVD? At least I didn't say album. Remember, I grew up listening to Sandy and Fairport Convention, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro. Also, how about sites and more tour dates for RT? Tonight I will watch some of the Sandy video's on line. Take good care.

I'm glad you said it that way, she does indeed break my heart too. On the other hand, if you're ever near DC...?
