you guys really miss alot of hip-hop when you put people like lil wayne or kanye west on your top list they are strictly pop now a days you guys are missing some of the best hip-hop to add to the your lists (of course 3 stacks an lupe are on the list) where is mos def? taib kweli? common? krs-one? rakim? gangstarr? kool g rap? nas? big l? wu-tang? ice cube? souls of mischief? my point is where are some real hip-hop figures how can you judge such a art if you dont explore it to its vast ends?

you said self expression and then go and say it is not suppose to be about cars and women... but what if that is what they feel?? then they sold out to corporate validation and false definitions of success. hip hop was created as counter mainstream and defined artistic values. that's why it's sad to see these few rappers who run as quick as they can to the cash.
