I started this course at Penn State 32 years ago tomorrow. I agree with that assessment. I also found Cliff Notes helpful, because I tend to get lost in the details.
I once told a chemical engineer about this course, and he said that Cramer's Rule was all I had to remember. Well, I don't learn that way. I take pleasure is analyzing a subject.

I think my linear algebra is totally inspired by this teacher, physically at least, they're both wird.. :) but about the lessons they're very diferente, my teacher just don't gives any examples and never relates what she's saying with vector's geometry...

Great professor, he's not one of those uninspiring professors who think their class is boring because it's too easy for themselves.

These lectures just keep stun me, one aha experience after another.

I wish we could get credits for watching these classes.

Just a little mistake around 40:35 .
He says multiply by 3 and substract...
what you realy are doing is multiplying with -3 and add. R1 -> -3R2 + R1 - else you get in trouble since (-2 * 3) - 1 != 7 , just a little note it confused me a bit when doing the Erop's.
Replacement: Ri -> Ri + cRj, j != 0
-----------------
Great work though helped me refreshing and preparing for exam a lot!

Dr. Strang love- or how I learned to stop worrying and love linear algebra! ...I'm such a nerd...

im so pissed that i got through half of a linear algebra study guide before i found this. this class is worth over $1500, if it's a three-credit course, for an out-of-state student. this guy is this shit too.

dear hulk, if you mean the quality of the video it should be youtube standards. if lecture, it would be difficult to notice the difference between a world class high jumper and me or you, if the bar was only a meter high. limits make the difference. having profs with depth in understanding of the subject enables them to encourage the students above average! and they make the difference. believe that there are good professors elsewhere too. if accepting, i wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

he explains the method of multiplying matrices but suggest reading some examples as well say about 2or3 |
