This fight will be good for Pavlik, he will come back stronger, and regain some of that hunger that I have'nt been seeing since he won the title!

Pavlik did seem to be having a wierd night,however Hopkins would have still beat him anyway probably because Pavlik makes some fundamental mistakes...like coming in straight up, always throwing a jab or 2 before every right hand EVERY FREGGIN TIME! Also he is just to predictable in general. And the way he holds his head and left hand leaves him open for overhand rights...but having said that he gets a lot of mileage just off being so strong and good puncher who's always pressing forward!

Hopkins is just playing the game. He plays possum for certain fights by giving lack luster performances to set up bigger fights and goes in and schools the fighter. I can tell you, Calzaghe would not win a second fight but I don't think we will see that one because I think Jones will get rid of him. Hopkins wants Jones and Jones wants/needs a big payday.

Only time will tell, if he does poorly in his next fights then you are right. If he does well then I don't think he is shit.

Don't know what the deal was with Pavlik, nobody likes excuses but he wasn't himself that night. He got schooled but not whooped like cotto did. He was physically fine after 12 rounds with hardly any marks on him. He gave a very disappointing performance though. I think cottos loss was more devastating.

personally i dont think bernard was fightin for a fight but for people sayin he cant do it at that age. and at that age i think he fought bettter than calzaghe did all his career. i just want bernard to fight jones. i fuckin hate him.

I know tons of people was shocked about the outcome of this fight. Shit, it would have been 1000's of postings if Pavlik won. Hopkins is a Scientist when it comes to boxing. I became a certified believer when he beat Trinidad. I couldn't believe it. People (including Pavlik) forgot this dude has over 20 title defenses and has never been knocked out. Don't be surprised if Pavlik turns into a drunk, the future king of the bar brawls. For the Record, Hopkins was robbed in that 1st Taylor fight.
