Exactly, unless someone really really trains in effective striking they have almost no chance of knocking you out before you close the gap, yes if your a moron and lead with your face you might eat one, but then again thats like a 4% chance of actuallly knocking you out, Basic jiu jitsu says: Cover your god damn face!

Jebus, surely, I did Bujutsu (self-defense) for three years, obviously i'll know how to punch and kick better than a person that never did martial arts. But what i say is that any person can, at least, try to kick and punch, and if this person is very strong or is really determinated sometimes can stand up a fight. Otherwise, on the ground, it's impossible to improvise or something. You KNOW or you LOSE.

um no. I now do BJJ because I saw the ufc and thought to myself what if. But a s Tae Kwon Do green belt with one year of training I did defend myself four times. I do now realize the it is very very effective but against untrained idiots you can use anything to defend your self effectively |
