Try looking up the Kimura to Omoplata to Triangle combo from guard. They chain very well into one another and make for a good drill. Each move sets up the next.

You are right, but when you watch a lot of MMA a lot of arm bars happen with out the head push. It's speed over technique, it's not wrong you should learn ever way.

Whatever works man, just learn more than one variation, if you wanna try it grabbing the shoulder, the neck it will help prevent an escape but the guy might pull his arm out. If you don't grab then this way is faster. it's all good!

yes and to give you MORE leverage and power. As a general rule, angles mean strangles (or attacks). Moving your hips out creates attack possibilities. The guy IN the guard wants to stay square with you at all times. Its a chess match after all.

You guys make the best BJJ instructional vids online! It's unbelievable that it's FREE! Thanks for the public service! Noob question: Are you angling your armbar to avoid being stacked?

Thanks for the videos guys, good info and set-up. Note to anyone watching - if they happen to pull their arm out (this shouldn't happen, but in case they do), this turns into an easy triangle by turning back the other way and hitting the head with the inner thigh then locking the triangle. Keep up the great videos!
