Oh, before you assume after reading the articles (if you do anyway) that she only did that because she did not want her songs to be butchered by contestants, let me point outvthat at that time, she would not even allow American Idol to use her songs as background music, like the way they played "If You Have A Bad Day" while showing past moments of the current season.

If you have more recent information than the articles found by googling "American Idol not allowed to use Kelly Clarkson's songs" (Note: these articles support part of my argument; the rest of my argument is based on secondary info, an interview with her, and an interview with American Idol producers that appeared on TV two years) that supports what you are saying then show it. If not, then you just made an assumption without any backup and just wasted my time.
