Sure, that may be true. Kaberle did have possession of the puck right before he made the pass, and Jannsen hit him within two seconds afterwards. However, he had the choice of not hitting him, or merely just finishing his check. You can clearly see Kaberle gives the pass, and Jannsen takes a stride and a half at Kaberle before laying him out into the boards. Finishing your check with a hit is one thing, but there was attempt to injure there. You could see Jannsen was looking for a fight.
