I want to apologize to all those that have read my comments here. Looking at them now, they seem like bragging, and that was not the point. That day (and event) was just one of those gems that life gives you. Not the money, but the reactions from friends is what I am talking about. Sarava helped change my life for the better (along with Charismatic and Ice Cole), and I am just grateful. I have been going to the track since the age of six weeks, I have bet plenty of duds! Who do you like today?

how much did that tri box pay?
DPBellisario (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
What an unbelievable race. I had Sarava, Medaglia d' Oro, and War Emblem in a trifecta box. Can't tell you how exciting this race was for me. I thought I had it... I also had decent money on Sarava to win, so I still went home extremely happy. I'll never forget this race. Thanks for posting.

Agreed, I made Sarava 7-1 on my odds line. Sunday Break was my favorite at 9-2. War Emblem (after using himself up in the Preakness) 30-1. I hope Big Brown can keep some in the tank Saturday!

what is a 'redboarder'?
PiquetBT52 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
As I said it took a long time. I really did not want to say why, I am not trying to brag, just diggin the memories. If you would like I'll tell ya. The same 'trick' also singled the first half of an $1800 double at Santa Anita in 2006. Do you really know how to tell if a horse wants more distance? That is the 'trick'. I did put Sarava with most every other horse (For the exacta: Sarava with all minus Artax Too boxed. They were all great overlays, and Artax Too would have been a waste of $20).

Another redboarder.

comment not about the rest of the field. Like A Hero. He won the Alydar stakes race out in california, and placed a solid 7th [correct me if im wrong] in the Travers stakes. and my parents are considering buying him. =]
