Yeah, i know what you mean, but if its a good choke, its meant to take them out within 3 seconds, and i was training with a aikijitsu guy once, and he was saying, when you do a choke, usually they will totally take there mind of trying to attack you because they are more concerned about the lack of oxygen, lol -simon-

i think most probably the overhand attack would be with a weapon..but ive fought people who came over top like that so...

What about his other arm? I think it would be more effective to step even further behind him and try to pull him down to keep him off balance, maybe put a knee into his back or the back of his knee to throw him off balance as well.

Good technique, but only if the attacker is the same height as you, no taller.
