LOL, only thing that kills me is in the movie and throughout the whole kung fu series, he goes against all these great martial artist that are fast a s shit, and when they fight caradine, there all of a sudden super slow and telegraph every move they do. LOL. SOOO Sad.

..end up in beating him up by any average street retard - 'cause nobody drives one punch, and after it's blocked, waits for 10 seconds until his enemy mounts a grappling or strikes back in slow motion.
[*] RIP Brandon Lee :(

...In fact, most of the fighters included in, let's say, KF:TLC show, was far better fighters than Caine (IMO even Chris Potter as his son had really impressive skills in comparison to Carradine). But Bruce was so much an icon, that such thing would never be accepted by the audience. Well, I never said I didn't like the show (TLC) at all, but it had nothing to do with a real kung fu movie. Even though Carradine trained a little meanwhile, his fights (famous block........counter sequence) would..

2:00 - never seen so weak looking kick in any movie. I think at least Brandon should get the role of Caine, if Bruce couldn't. They were both great fighters, while Carradine had no idea of kung fu, karate or any other martial art. And if we talk about a possibilities of Bruce's guest starring, it would COMPLETELY shatter the original idea the show, which was superiority of Caine over all other fighters.

The original concept of 'Kung Fu' as Bruce Lee's. He pitched it as a Western style series to the producers of Warner. However, being naive and trusting, he didn't get anything in writing. So, the concept remained anyone's property and, for some reason, Carradine, who belonged to an acting dynasty, got the role.

Cont. Over the run of the series, other asians were guest stars, like Pat Morita, but Lee was never invited, or he would've grossly outstaged Carradine.

It's not a rumor. Bruce's wife wrote in her memoirs that Bruce had the idea and pitched it to Warner Bros, and was immediately dismissed. Then later on someone got credit for a very similar story concept at Warner. The Lees didn't think it was a coincidence but back then there was no copyright protection for a concept or idea. I don't think it was coincidence either. And she had no reason to lie, since she never sued.
