I don't like this explanation at all because it's not done at full speed also. He changes his flow a couple times... I KNOW aikido principles CAN be effective... but I don't think this can be done without the attacked stopping and allowing all the steps to be done slowly. The breakdown's important also... but we need to see it at full speed.

Aikido is a way of understanding and self improvement not just beating people up.. meeting force with harmony rather than force with force. Those that call it stupid and say it wont work are missing the point and are too immature to grasp the concept of "The Way Of Harmony" go to a class or learn about somethin before you criticize it. Enter like the triangle, move as a circle with a base as the square.

Well your instructor is wrong. The word martial art comes from the word Mars who was the Roman god of war. Martial Arts literally means the art of war or art of combat. The word was originally used in Britain for fencing but was applied to Asian fighting systems upon discovering them. If you take Krav Maga apart it can be traced back to many Asian systems. |
