All of these people who attack the US for dropping the bomb are not looking at the larger picture. Had the US been forced to invade the Japanese home islands, MILLIONS of Japanese civilians would have died. NO sane American took pleasure from dropping the bomb. Truman himself called it "the awful way". I think that it is a human tragedy beyond compare, but unfortunately it was better than the alternative. This endless, uninformed America bashing is really tiresome.
