there was no tai-otoshi in this video. Koga did mostly ippon seoi nage and sode tsuri komi goshi

The belts are also indicate how long you are trainings, but it doesn't nessecary mean how good you are.

such art such beauty in movement, genius technique, morote seonage was and is my throw and koga does a beautiful demonstration of this technique. his tia otoshi and morote seonage is perfect technique (there are variations)

I agree, at my dojo i only have 3rd kyu (green)but i beat others at the dojo who has 2nd(blue) and 1st(brown)kyu, but i have more experiance in competitions so thats why. But i think belts are important and after you have recived 1 dan(black) your skills should be greater in both matches and practice throws since it also symbolises maturity. And after a few dan (there is 10 in judo) it won't matter, a higher dan will mostly beat a lower dan... |
