Uh now that you mention it, I think it is one of the most famous martial arts all over the world. "Yeah and I suppose you can throw me around like a feather with your pinky too?" You are fooling yourself if you think you are going to understand it by watching videos. Look up and read about "Aiki" that's a good place to start. I believe Aikido isn't the only art in which it is used.

First of all, make sure you voice your frustrations to your sensei. Don't let your frustrations fester into something negative. Second, realize that the founder of Aikido was too small to join the Japanese Army at first. Third, realize that MOST Aikido technique does not require you to be bigger or stronger than the attacker. Last, think about it THIS way. You say you are the YOUNGEST in the class. That means you have a HEAD START on everyone else in your class. You started YOUNGER. Peace.

sometimes after teh techinique is demonstrated, I can't remember how to do it. Even after it's explained again, I still have trouble.I'm also the youngest and smallest in the class, and sometimes have trouble throwing grown men three times (and sometimes four times) my size. I've gotten somewhat better, though; considering the comment's been made 2 months ago.
