"If a 43 year old Hopkins had him in trouble early and lost controversaly, its safe to say a prime Hopkins would win easily[.......]"
What the fuck? Are you talking about the Pavlik/Hopkins fight? Hopkins didn't win controversially. He won every single round of that fight. He owned Pavlik. It was a unanimous decision.. there was no controversy in that.

Who gives a rats ass wat you think..Calzaghe beat COWARD hopkins and every major network had him infront..bear in mind that COWARD hopkins only didnt lose by more because he permanently had his defence up vs Calzaghe holding and hugging constantly. Go watch..
Calzaghe 'slaps' hokpins around
The desperate hug by hopkins at 49 secs is one of the moest gutless things ive seen in a ring..hopkins tries to steal, hold, pinch, rob when hes up against a superior fighter..then SCHOOLED kelly pavlik

Pavlik pissed off running from Abraham
and was slaped his ass by old popkins.
He is a joke..:D.
He never matches for Calzaghe.

Calzaghe never had the power, thats why every ko he has is a TKO not a 10 coun, every fight fight was a stoppage from consecutive cleanly landed slaps, and those were agiasnt nobodies while Jones and Hopkins were knocking out world class compitition, Cal Slappys never KO'd world class competition, he couldn't even win convingly against a 43 year old Hopkins. The only win he deserves credit for is Lacy, but Jones wouldv'e murdered him and if you disagree you don't understand how good Jones was.

Your absolutey correct, Calzaghe waited until he though Hopkins and Jones where over the hill until he tried to add there names to his record, but thats all they are, names, Jones is ahell of the man he used to be. If a 43 year old Hopkins had him in trouble early and lost controversaly, its safe to say a prime Hopkins would win easily, same goes for Jones, although he beat Jones more convincingly Jones had him in trouble early as well, he still has the power but the speed and reflexes are gone.

I agree, I actualy think Pavlik is more suited to fight Calzaghe then Jones or Hopkins, if Calzaghe starts a pitter patter flurry Pavlik would sneak a hard right in there, I also think if he got Calzaghe in trouble he's a guy that will capitalize, Hopkins and Jones had him in trouble early but they didn't keep the pressure on, and thats when Calzaghe started taking rounds with productivity. That simply wont be the story with Pavlik and Cal Slappy knows it.

And just because Cal. beat Hopkins, which by the way, i thought Hopkins won, does not mean he would beat a healthy, let me repeat, a healthy Pavlik. I still say Pavlik would k.o Joe. But Joe is to much of a pussy to fight Pavlik, so we will never find out.

Pavlik at the age of 26 has fought way better fighters than Calzaghe has. When Calzaghe was 26, can you name one decent fighter he threw gloves with?? I cant either. Calzaghe put on a boxing clinic against a washed up Jones! When Pavlik reaches 28, he will have surpassed all of Calzaghes acomplishments.
