I think the note at 1:55 should be F# not a F. He trys to show the F chord 1st position and mentions how you lift off and sound the open B string but I think the chord shape there should be a fretted 2-0-0-2-0-0 low to high strings. Anyway according to my hero Tommy Emmanuel.

do you know of a tab that corresponds the fingering you're using? i've not yet found one that fits the shapes you use- and it is impossible to look at both sides of the split screen at once!

Hey thanks, The name 'Beginning Fingerpicking' actually implies more of the right hand than the left. I know you caught that. It's for guitarists who have mainly have played with a flat pick most of the time. Mike McAdoo

Very nice instruction - taught me a few more notes to work on and yes folks, this is 'beginning finger pickin'; although some parts of it I would consider a tad more advanced. My version when I first learned is a little easier; gosh these ole tunes make me homesick for playin again; cant wait to share some of my pickin an grinnin !

Beautifull, great sound, but such good guitars are hard to find, where you need this very - very musical sounding guitars too:then play it seven houres a day and you will reach what you want.IVAN.

this is a wonderful video. Who ever you are, God gave you guitarist hands, with fingers a neck long.Your hands are easily followed because you use a dark guitar together with a dark background. and you have managed to split the screen with even wieght. Your playing is as smooth as tony emanuels (beginners dont need the twiddly bits) and your commentary is nice and relaxed. I hope i'm up to learning this piece, thankyou.

this video is alright, but this is not beginner finger picking. Its a bit advanced for a "beginner".
