Oh yeah. This movie reflects the segment of society of billionaire playboys who dress up in high-tech halloween costumes to thwart psycho ICP wannabes who can magically rig any structure or vehicle with bombs. So real.

most movies are made to reflect real life. or at least some parts of it.

We're talking about a fucking movie.
Which leads me to perhaps the best lesson to teach kids: The difference between fantasy and reality.

they looked pretty scared. and i dont think being traumatized by ur father being threatened with his life is being a pussy.

I think "modernized" is the wrong word. What he did was make the characters more complex and realistic.

That's right. Spoonfeed your kids a bunch of that life-is-just-a-bowl-of-cherries Disney crap instead. Let them grow up as wide-eyed, easily-exploited sheep, believing that Santa Claus will save them from cancer, debt collectors and terrorists.
The world IS a CRUEL, NASTY, and DANGEROUS place. What better way to teach kids these hard lessons than through the harmless medium of cool comic book movies and toys?
I, for one, would have loved this stuff when I was little. (Still love it now!) |
